The Fund for Assisting Victims of Human Trafficking concluded today, Wednesday, January 28, 2026, the activities of the two-day training course aimed at qualifying 32 social pioneer women in Damietta Governorate. The course was held in cooperation with the National Coordinating Committee for Combating and Preventing Illegal Migration and Human Trafficking and the Ministry of Social Solidarity, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Saeed, representing Ambassador Dina El-Sayeh, Executive Director of the Fund for Assisting Victims of Human Trafficking.
The training course addressed several key topics, foremost among them the introduction to human trafficking crimes and their various forms, and strengthening the role of social pioneer women in spreading community awareness by developing effective communication skills with families to raise awareness of the risks of these crimes and methods of prevention and protection. It also included an overview of the mandates of the National Committee and the role of the Fund for Assisting Victims of Human Trafficking and the services it provides to victims, whether psychological, social, or financial, contributing to their reintegration into society.
The course also reviewed the legal framework governing the combating of human trafficking crimes, in addition to providing a practical explanation of psychological and behavioral prevention methods for families to avoid falling victim to any form of exploitation. It also included a presentation by Dr. Al-Zahraa Abu Ali, representative of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, highlighting the role of shelter centers and mechanisms for guiding and protecting abused women.
At the conclusion of the course, Dr. Ahmed Saeed, on behalf of Ambassador Dina El-Sayeh, Executive Director of the Fund, handed over certificates of completion to the participating social pioneer women.
The organization of this course comes within the framework of the intensive training plan of the Fund for Assisting Victims of Human Trafficking, which targets a number of governorates across the Republic. It began last December with training programs in Fayoum and Minya, and continues to cover 12 governorates, aiming to build the capacities of social pioneer women as the first line of defense in confronting human trafficking crimes and raising awareness of their dangers within local communities.
